Day 7 THE SHOWS S/S 2019 Evening Wear and 3rd Annual Avant Garde Competition We will be hosting our annual avant garde competition where designers submit a custom design garment that is inspired by the City of Chicago. The winner will receive a $750.00 cash prize.
Fashion Week in Chicago concludes with an evening filled with gorgeous and cutting-edge fashion featuring our Evening Wear presentation and our Avant-Garde Fashion Design competition at the landmark Spiegel Administrative Building.
Our Evening Wear Show will showcase elegant designs with unique silhouettes in luxurious fabrics.
Our Avant-Garde competition will follow and feature original designs inspired by the City of Chicago as designers go head-to-head in a Project Runway-like competition. The judges for this competition will be Flo Fiore/House of Fiore; Ian Hargrove/Project Runway Designer, Season 15; and last year’s 2017 Avant-Garde winner, VJ Gibson/VJG Clothing.
