Beyonce has been putting us in "Formation" since she started her world tour. The pop diva has been stunning audiences since the show debuted in April. Mrs. Carter even visited our neck of the woods at Soldier Field for two nights back in May. At the time we didn't know what it took to bring the performer's tour costumes together. Well we just got lucky because Beyonce gave Entertainment Tonight access to her tour fashions. On tour it's not always about the music. Fashion plays a major role in Beyonce's on stage presence. Costume designer, Marni Senofonte, said that the inspiration for the tour designs came from Beyonce's first video from her latest visual album entitled Lemonade. Senofonte said the movie has a very antebellum feel which was recreated through Beyonce's tour wardrobe. For the Formation World Tour Queen Bey has called on some of the biggest names in fashion from Balmain to Roberto Cavalli. Beyonce and Senofonte went through sketches from designers and decided what they liked and what alterations needed to be made. The designers resketched ideas and from there Beyonce decided what pieces she wanted made. On tour it's not all about the pop star's fashions. Her dancers also get special fashion treatment which includes hand-dyed stockings made possible with the help of a crock pot. The most notable and larger than life accessory to come from the tour is the wide-brimmed hat that Beyonce and dancers rock in her opening number. The hat maker had to drive all the way to Mexico to get the sombreros. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIO8Fq9tvSw
