Event Description:
FashionBar Chicago LLC is pleased to announce Chicago Fashion Week in October of 2017. The Fashion Week events will occur on October 20, 21, 22, 24, 27, and the 29.
We are excited to announce that TV personality Emer Gomez, celebrity stylist Carmeniska Velez, and model, stylist, and Russia’s Next Top Model judge Leroy Dawkins will join us for these fashion shows.
Additionally, we will have the designer brand Phomaz Handbags, and fashion designers Ann Everett, Elizabeth Parker of “Rich Casual”, Anastasia Chatzka, Marie Chic, V.J.G Clothing, Yola Gray-Baker and La Moda Munze whom will be showcasing a minimum of 16 looks from their designer collections for Spring/Summer 2018 clothing line. These designers are a representation of the multicultural and diverse design aesthetic offered by Chicago’s fashion industry.
The Avant Garde Competition is the finale show closing out fashion week as designers compete to create a custom garment inspired by Chicago’s cityscape. The contestant’s designs will be judged based on the criteria of quality, creativity, and execution of the competition theme. There will be (3) panel judges evaluating the competition and their identities will be released in early October 2017!

The Swimwear Fashion Show
Our opening show will take place at the Flagship Tavern & Grill. This show will showcase fun and flirty beachwear designed by assorted local and global designers.

The Modern Minimalist
This show will take place at Arkadia Tower Chicago. The show will showcase collections inspired by futuristic designs by local designers whose garments are modest and understated.

Evening Wear SS 2018
This show will take place at the Mercedes Benz Dealership Chicago. The show will showcase various evening wear designers whose garments contain eminence and elegance.

Anastasia’s Fashion Week Mixer
This event will take place at Anastasia Chatzka Sewing. Along with the opportunity to meet Anastasia Chatzka, this provides the opportunity to experience the design process in a live work-space where an idea becomes a tangible garment.

Beautiful Business
This show will take place at the John Marshall Law School. The presentation will showcase designers with a strong influence of professional garments and apparel needed to advance you to higher goals and achievements in your career!

The final show of Chicago’s Fashion Week will take place at the Audi Dealership Chicago. The show will showcase the winning garment and custom pieces from the Avant Garde Competition.
